Denver, CO (March 1, 2007) ProBuild Holdings Inc., the nation’s largest professional building materials supplier, today announced the appointment of industry veteran William J. Myrick to senior vice president of strategic initiatives. In this new role, Myrick will primarily focus on the development of new strategic business opportunities for ProBuild.
“Bill is a well-seasoned veteran with more than 25 years of experience in this industry,” said Paul W. Hylbert, ProBuild chief executive officer. “He brings a unique and impressive skill set that directly supports ProBuild’s aggressive growth plan. “We are excited to have someone of Bill’s caliber and experience join our organization. He’ll be a great addition to our leadership team.”
Previously, Myrick served as chief operating officer for Pennsylvania-based 84 Lumber. He began his career in 1982 as a manager trainee for 84 Lumber in the Baltimore, MD market and held a variety of positions from area manager to regional vice president to vice president of purchasing and marketing before assuming the role of COO in 1998.
