ProBuild Purchases Idaho-based Alpine Lumber Supply, Inc.

Denver, CO (September 26, 2007) – ProBuild Holdings, the nation’s largest supplier of building materials to professional contractors, announced today that it has purchased the assets of Alpine Lumber Supply, Inc., a distributor of lumber, millwork and building products operating in the greater Coeur d’Alene, Idaho market. Terms of the sale have not been disclosed.

Alpine Lumber, with facilities located in Sand Point and Post Falls, Idaho is a long-standing lumber distribution and installed sales business founded by Robert Myers in 1978. The company is well known as a distributor of specialty wood products.

“The employees at Alpine Supply have established a solid reputation in their market and we look forward to having them join our team,” said David Dittmer, President, ProBuild West Region. “These facilities will compliment our existing operations in the Coeur d’Alene and Spokane markets and the addition of these teams will allow us to enhance our reach into the northern Idaho market as well as expand our installed services offerings.”
